red berries

her nail beds
dared not leak
through brightly lit
reverie, pillaged
and bruised with
memory's bite

sorrow delineated time
tricking propensity
for tiny impressions
in that

"other life"

while lip-quiver
joined the parade
of seasons through
a winter heart

red berries;
mere remnants of
fortitude against
harsh snow

Pooled Allusions

There are angels in the eyes of ecstasy;
sugared tongues
     that peel icing layers
          with deliberate kisses.

Blackness breathes magic
caressing folds
          and rounds-

skin responds.

Eyes move.  Singular vision
believes a world lives
within curious glides;
presses moist lips.

Scent lingers,
fragrancing flushed cheeks,

burning earlobes.
Harnessed energy ruptures
into subtle signature blushes,
intrinsic of pooled allusions -

and ringlets dance;
oblivious bliss
amid the undisclosed.

November Breath

As frost bites,
brown leaf dangles,
trembles in November breath
afraid to let go,
though

others have.

Ground slowly rises,
meets her
as she feels
the float.

Body brittles,
chills near mother's base
until breeze
lifts her
into unexpected flight.

Freedom's glory
lives within this
single soaring
moment -

whirl
 twirl
     swirl

until she lands again,
touches earth
and understands her worth.
