dared not leak
through brightly lit
reverie, pillaged
and bruised with
memory's bite
sorrow delineated time
tricking propensity
for tiny impressions
in that
"other life"
while lip-quiver
joined the parade
of seasons through
a winter heart
red berries;
mere remnants of
fortitude against
harsh snow
